Mountain Bikes

Mountain bicycles are designed for off-road cycling. All mountain bicycles feature sturdy, highly durable frames and wheels, wide-gauge treaded tires, and cross-wise handlebars to help the rider resist sudden jolts. Mountain bicycle gearing is very wide-ranging, from very low ratios to high ratios, typically with 21 to 30 gears.

Comfort Bikes

Comfort bikes feature 26 inch wheels with wide on/off road tires, an upright riding position with easy to reach handlebars, and wide range gearing to tackle hills. Some have a front suspension fork to absorb bumps. All this adds up to stable, comfortable ride over a variety of terrain. Comfort bikes are great all around bikes.

Juvenile Bikes have wide tire on 12", 16", 20" or 24" wheels and 1 gear. They are general purpose bikes for children between 2 and 10. Juvenile bikes usually have one speed. Most have foot brakes, but some have hand brakes.
