Mountain Bikes
Mountain bicycles are designed for off-road cycling. All
mountain bicycles feature sturdy, highly durable frames and
wheels, wide-gauge treaded tires, and cross-wise handlebars to
help the rider resist sudden jolts. Mountain bicycle gearing
is very wide-ranging, from very low ratios to high ratios,
typically with 21 to 30 gears.

Comfort Bikes
Comfort bikes feature 26 inch wheels with wide on/off road
tires, an upright riding position with easy to reach
handlebars, and wide range gearing to tackle hills. Some have
a front suspension fork to absorb bumps. All this adds up to
stable, comfortable ride over a variety of terrain. Comfort
bikes are great all around bikes.

Juvenile Bikes
Juvenile Bikes have wide tire on 12", 16", 20" or 24" wheels
and 1 gear. They are general purpose bikes for children
between 2 and 10. Juvenile bikes usually have one speed. Most
have foot brakes, but some have hand brakes.

Tri Bikes
A triathlon (or tri) bike is specifically designed to be
ridden comfortably and efficiently in the aerodynamic position
using elbow-rest style aero handlebars. Triathlon geometry
bikes facilitate the transition from cycling to running better
than road geometry bikes.

Freestyle / BMX Bikes
Freestyle Bikes usually have strong, specially designed, long
wheelbase frames, axle peg extenders, and handlebar
stem-mounted rotors.
BMX bikes are 20” wheel bikes for anywhere you want to ride.
Also known as “dirt bikes” they are mostly used as general
purpose bikes, great for basic transportation, dirt riding,
and racing.
